DIY (Do It Yourself) Fin & Rudder Adapter (J-1 Motors)
The DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Fin & Rudder Adapter serves as the base for all other Bixpy Adapters for J-1 Motors, making it the perfect DIY Adapter. You can use this adapter to custom-build your own Bixpy Ready fin or rudder.
This is also the adapter you will need for Bixpy Ready components from other manufacturers. For example, the Vibe Bixpy-Ready Gravity Rudder will require this adapter to fit the Bixpy J-1 Motor.
If you need to mount the motor to a flat surface, you can add the Flat Surface Bracket for a flat mount. In addition to this DIY adapter, we also offer a DIY ThruHull adapter for installation on various kayaks' dry storage pods.
If you have a rudder, centerboard, or skeg plate or anything with 1/4" (6mm) thickness and you would like to motorize it, you can download a DIY blade template and make your motorized rudder or skeg with the DIY (Do It Yourself) Fin & Rudder Adapter.
